Foldit crowd source game players solve challenging AIDS research problem

This is old news, but I was reminded to submit a blog entry after watching FoldIt’s co-creator, Seth Cooper, present at TEDMED. Unfortunately there is a significant delay before TEDMED videos are posted.  They introduced the Foldit “winner” who provided the final component to solve the AIDS research challenge. Her team are all non-scientists, she is a lab tech in the UK. Seth suggested that in the future creation of serious games might be crowd sourced as well.
