I just noticed that 6 of the TEDMED videos from the fall 2009 conference are available on the web for free. I’ve only watched the magician David Blaine, but it’s fascinating to hear how he trains for his magic tricks.

TED tends to bring together a mash-up of futurists. The idea is to cross pollinate by presenting new ideas from multiple domains to a wide group of thought leaders. So by presenting new art or visualization to technologists and vice versa might lead to new revelations and synergies.
