HopeLab (the makers of the serious game, Re-Mission), are getting into children’s excergames. Enter Zamzee–a rewards program to encourage physical activity. The concept is as follows: you wear a Zamzee meter that records your activity. You then upload the information to Zamzee and convert your activity to online currency you can spend in an online store. Interestingly, HopeLab, a non-profit, is spinning this device off into a new commercial enterprise.

Zamzee launches in 2011. A great idea…now we need Zamzee for adults!

    Hi Jeff,

I just came across the Hope Lab recently…since your post have you come across anyone doing the “Zamzee” for adults?

There are a couple other devices out there..although not set up with the Zamzee reward system.
Take a look at FitBit, BodyBugg, and accessories for the iPhone.
